Hi there! I'm Andrei Popescu Filimon (I got Certified EasyEDA Professional since December 2025 :) ), the person behind HyperLine Robotics creations. Through trial and error, I specialize in designing and building robots for competitions, constantly learning and improving. My focus is on creating solutions that lead in robotics competitions while keeping all my work fully open source so others can learn, improve, and build alongside me.

As 2025 comes to a close, HyperLine Robotics reflects on a year of constant progress and growth. We are excited to welcome our new partners EasyEDA, OSHWLab, SoBotz and OpenMV, strengthening our hardware and open source ecosystem.
Looking ahead, we are preparing the launch of our learning platform at
learn.hyperlinerobotics.com, bringing practical robotics and electronics courses in the new year.
I will be competing in Line Follower and Mini Sumo at Robotex International 2025. Results:
For the first time we are joing Line Follower Classic, Line Follower Turbo and Line Follower Enhanced with 4 of our latest robots. And for the first time we are joining Combat category in 1lb (500g) weight class, while having a robot in mini sumo 500g as well. Results:
One of the most advanced fast line follower robots, weighting only 111grams.
This year’s Infomatrix was a challenge in Line Follower as no downforce was allowed. But my experience was amazing by collabing with IT Inovations Team from Azerbaijan.
This year’s Robotics Championship was a combination of adrenaline and innovation! Competing with the HLR_V4, HLR_V3 and HLR_MS1 robots, we excelled in three categories:
Our first mini sumo robot.
One of the most advanced fast line follower robots, weighting only 93grams.
Winner of Line Follower Enhanced at Relativity Robotics Championship
A simplified and efficient design, optimized for no EDF challenges. Weighting only 90grams with battery.
This compact impeller system that generates up to 800grams of downforce. Weights less than a normal 27+mm EDF (Electric Ducted Fan) while generating even more downforce with the right sucion skirt.
This compact line sensor is optimized for mini, micro, and nano sumo robots. With dimensions of just 7.874 mm x 7.239 mm, its small size and precise QRE1113GR sensor make it perfect for small and compact robots.
This high-resolution line detection module is designed for precision in fast line follower robots. With 16 closely ingenious spaced QRE1113GR sensors, it provides accurate tracking for straight paths, curves, and intersections on complex tracks.
The second-generation Line Follower robot is faster and smarter, equipped with downforce device(EDF), with advanced algorithm, and optimized sensors for competitive settings.
This year’s RoboChallenge was packed with adrenaline and innovation! Competing with the JSUMO_LF robot, I excelled in three categories:
